1. About Q8Tips

Q8Tips is a multi-merchant digital tipping platform that connects customers with individual service professionals at participating merchants. Participating merchants may include restaurants, cafés, hospitality businesses, retail businesses, and other service establishments.

Q8Tips is not an internal employee system for a single merchant. Customers, service professionals, and participating merchants may interact with different parts of the Q8Tips platform.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Q8Tips, we may collect information including:

• Name, mobile number, email address, and account information.
• Profile information and profile photographs where provided.
• Merchant, workplace, job title, and service-professional information.
• Tip amounts, transaction references, dates, payment status, and tip history.
• Messages or comments voluntarily submitted with a tip.
• Device information, application version, language preference, and push notification tokens.
• Technical and security information such as IP address, request logs, timestamps, and information used to detect fraud or misuse.
• Information submitted when contacting Q8Tips for support, disputes, or other requests.

3. Payment Information

Q8Tips supports payment methods that may include KNET, Apple Pay, card payments, and other supported payment services.

Payment transactions may be processed by banks, payment gateways, acquiring institutions, card networks, KNET, Apple Pay, and other payment service providers. These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Q8Tips does not need to store your full payment card number in order to provide the tipping service. Payment-related transaction identifiers, authorization results, amounts, statuses, and references may be retained as necessary to operate the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, and manage Q8Tips accounts.
• Identify the service professional selected by a customer.
• Process, record, and display tips and payment results.
• Provide service professionals with their tip history and earnings information.
• Provide merchants with appropriate platform and employee-management functions.

• Provide customer support and investigate payment questions or disputes.
• Protect accounts and detect fraud, abuse, impersonation, or unauthorized activity.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Q8Tips.

If notifications are enabled on your device and in your Q8Tips settings, we may send notifications concerning tips, account activity, platform updates, participating merchants, promotions, and other Q8Tips services.

You may control notification permissions through your device settings and, where available, through Q8Tips application settings.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information only where reasonably necessary to operate Q8Tips, including with:

• Participating merchants where information relates to their registered service professionals or legitimate merchant operations.
• Payment processors, banks, acquiring institutions, payment networks, and payment technology providers involved in processing a transaction.
• Technology, hosting, messaging, notification, security, and infrastructure providers supporting Q8Tips.
• Professional advisers, auditors, regulators, courts, government authorities, or law-enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law.
• Other parties where necessary to investigate fraud, security incidents, disputes, or misuse of the platform.

7. Information Visible to Customers

To allow customers to identify the person they wish to tip, Q8Tips may display appropriate service-professional information such as a display name, photograph, job title, and associated merchant.

Sensitive employment, identity, account, or payment information is not intended to be publicly displayed as part of the tipping profile.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.

No electronic service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their account credentials and promptly contact Q8Tips if they suspect unauthorized access to their account.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Q8Tips, maintain transaction and accounting records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, and satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is maintained.

You may request assistance regarding your personal information, account information, corrections, or privacy-related questions by contacting us using the details below.

Certain information may need to be retained despite a deletion or account-closure request where retention is necessary for transaction records, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or other legitimate requirements.

Q8Tips is not designed as a service for children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children through customer tipping accounts.
