These Terms of Service govern your use of Q8Tips, including the Q8Tips website, mobile applications, QR tipping experience, merchant services, and related services operated by Kuwait Soft IT Consultants (“Q8Tips”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
Q8Tips is a digital tipping platform that allows customers to recognize service staff by sending tips through supported payment methods. Merchants may use Q8Tips to register locations and employees, and employees may receive tips subject to the platform rules and applicable merchant arrangements.
You must provide accurate information when creating or using an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity performed through your account.
You must not impersonate another person, create misleading accounts, or use Q8Tips for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes.
A tip is a voluntary payment made by a customer to recognize service received. The customer decides whether to tip and, where applicable, the amount of the tip.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, banks, card networks, KNET, Apple Pay, or other supported payment services. Their own terms may also apply.
Once a tip payment has been successfully authorized and processed, it may not be reversible except where required by law or where Q8Tips determines that a transaction was duplicated, processed incorrectly, or otherwise eligible for correction.
Merchants are responsible for ensuring that the employees they register or approve are legitimate members of their organization and that information submitted to Q8Tips is accurate.
Employees are responsible for keeping their profile and account details accurate. Q8Tips may suspend or restrict an employee, merchant, QR code, or account where misuse, fraud, impersonation, or policy violations are suspected.
Q8Tips may provide individual employee QR codes, merchant QR codes, store QR codes, and other digital links. These are intended only for legitimate tipping and identification purposes.
You must not copy, alter, redirect, resell, manipulate, or misuse Q8Tips QR codes or tip links in a misleading or fraudulent manner.
If you believe a payment was made in error, duplicated, or unauthorized, contact Q8Tips promptly. We may request transaction details and supporting information before reviewing the request.
Refunds, reversals, or chargebacks may also be governed by the rules of the relevant payment provider, bank, card network, or acquiring institution.
You may not use Q8Tips to facilitate fraud, money laundering, unlawful transactions, harassment, deception, account takeover, payment abuse, or any activity prohibited by applicable law.
We aim to keep Q8Tips available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Services may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, network failures, payment provider outages, security measures, or circumstances outside our control.
Your use of Q8Tips is also subject to our Privacy Policy. We process personal information as necessary to provide, secure, operate, and improve the service and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Q8Tips, its software, branding, designs, trademarks, content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Kuwait Soft IT Consultants. You may not reproduce or exploit them except as permitted by us in writing.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Q8Tips where we reasonably believe there is fraud, misuse, a security risk, breach of these Terms, legal or regulatory risk, or harm to Q8Tips, merchants, employees, customers, or payment partners.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Q8Tips and Kuwait Soft IT Consultants will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service, payment provider failures, merchant conduct, employee conduct, or events outside our reasonable control.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on Q8Tips with the updated effective date. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of Kuwait, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
